The Sweet Life

Heres Graham Cody and Andy Holbrook. They make up the duo from Chicago La Dolce Vita. I met these guys while on a beer run off Lake Shore Drive and somehow in one way or the other music came up while getting in line and from there on they have become one of my tops in rotation. Andy has sent me quite a few remixes and each time I get another one they just get better and better. Their heavy synth usage always pulls me in. Since 2008 they have remixed the likes of Yelle, The Sounds, Shiny Toy Guns, The Faint, InnerPartySystem, Julien-K, and Kill Hannah just to name a few. And each remix is solid to say the least. They always deliver and I will be posting more of them in the future for sure.

If your sleeping on them it's time to wake up. These guys are going to be huge. You can catch them weekly on Thursdays @ DISAPPEAR HERE: the premium weekly electro night at Angels & Kings in Chicago every Thursday www.thisisnotanexit.com.

So Fucking Remixed

Here's a remix from DJ Philly here in Chicago. I got his remix of the anthem "Who's Who-Sexy Fuck" a couple of weeks ago and it has since found it's was into being on repeat or in my playlists alot. Being one of my tops that from time to time to this day still get dropped, sexy fuck is a track that's still fucking great all around. And the remix gives the original justice. Like I always approve of it's very thick in the kick area and is a great peak hour track to drop in mid set to keep the energy up between the hard hitters. The vocals are kept in tact without much chopping so it's still a sing-a-long. A percy electric bassline jumps at you and makes you want to nod the head a bit. After a couple listens you will be whistling the melody. It's a great overall remix that brings new breath into the lungs of a classic. Expect more from Philly as well. Definitely up and coming home grown talent.

Friday Night Indeedy

Decided at the last second to share one of my gems. I've had it for quite some time and haven't really seen anything in the "blogoshpere" regarding these tracks and think it's a crying damn shame. Elecktrochemie is just downright the shit. Period. Minimal/Tech thumpers, both tracks deliver heavy and leave you wanting more. I believe I got these bad boys back in 2006/2007? Some time when I was resident @ Cabaret because I remember throwing these down when I first got them and lighting the place up and almost inciting a riot when dropping "This Is Sick" by Solid Groove(Switch/Sinden) and tossing a full Cran Vodk at ppl but that's a whole other story.

"Don't Go" is my top of the two on the EP. Starts real Minimal but once the kick hits it almost jumps through the speakers at you. The melody is simple and catchy as all hell. Just listen and trust me if you have not heard it yet.

"You're My Kind" is similar to "Dont Go" in the fact it begins very Minimal but builds into a more Techy kind of track towards the end. Not as kick driven as it's counterpart but still can satisfy the Bass Heads. I advise giving it a shot as well.

So for the first real music blogger type post, I'm going with an eclectic selection of current favorites. First, some good ol' Switch to get your blood flowing. Not the usual "Fidget" sir Switch-a-lot coined, but some jumpy dubstep. Hearing it reminds me of the beginning of the night when your pregaming at home or when your mid session or just joining the beginning of the rotation.

*RECOMMENDED*

Florence And The Machine - Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) (Switch Remix)

Next is the Jokers Of The Scene. Something more chillaxed and simple at first, then it's completely destructive after the break. Venturing into the break is reminiscent of retro the 90's NYC underground scene. But after the break the track completely goes into wobble mode which builds into a more drummy popoff. Peep It. Good Stuff.

Right from the first time this banger graced my ear drums I was in love. Classic Boys Noize....Effing CLASSIC! The kick sets the speakers off and I love the vocals. Hits hard like Bob Dole on viagra.

Now a classic brought back to life with a complete firing rage behind it. Solid is all I can say. No description needed. Some good old Industrial. A spark in the dark.

Heres another shit storm. Fiery delivery with some dirty synth work to gut it in. Makes me just want to hop around. Def some 2am delivery.

The Inner Rage Has Returned

After over a year hiatus ElectroDingus is back. I began blogging my favorite tracks and mixes over a year ago and in the shuffle of production and spinning I just got swamped and left it here for when I had more personal time. Well that time is now.

This blog will cover everything from tracks to current fashion to politics to....What the fuck ever. If it's on my mind it will be up here sooner or later.

I will fight to bring you nothing short of revolutionary and completely insane music. Something against the grain. I refuse to and will not by and means be posting commercial crap here. It just wont happen. Most will be house or hard electro based with some rock and hip-hop scattered about. Basically if it moves me and makes me think twice, it will be posted.

Seeing as how I was always ahead of the curve and my competition bringing you tracks way before their release and way before they hit anyone elses mixxes, I figured even though I'm not spinning live sets for now I can still deliver heat and exclusives and share the wealth.

If you consider yourself a connoisseur of of the electronic realm. Here will be your home. I will be blasting you everything from Bloody Beetroots to Paul Johnson to Crookers to Dubfire to N.I.N to Combichrist to Lil Wayne to Toxic Avenger to Trash Yourself to Designer Drugs. Every single spectrum will be covered. Like I said if it's pure heat and ferocity, your going to find it here first.

Artists looking to have your music blogged and spread here before anyone else feel free to contact me @ seventhsinthegreat@gmail.com.

I've already got a handfull of exclusives waiting. to surface into your grubby paws So keep your eyes opened and hands out. You will get what you ask for.
